My TikTok has hit half a million views since Thursday and today's Saturday, and I've got 700 brand new sassy disruptors joining the party. The Save Act breakdown blew up and let me just say some of the comments were unhinged and some were powerful and some were magamath. So today we're breaking down the wild week, clapping back and connecting the dots, so you're not left asking what the fuck is happening anymore.

Let's get into the headlines from April 7th through April 12th. Buckle up, it's a mess. And here is the headline roundup President Trump announced a blanket 10 percent tariff on all imports yes, all of them. The Dow immediately dropped and economists warned this is a direct tax on American families. The goal Bringing jobs back. The reality higher grocery bills, more inflation and zero guarantees. Market meltdown the S&P 500 closed the week down 9.1 percent. Jerome Powell called the economic outlook highly uncertain and the Dow had its worst day since 2020, plummeting 2,231 points. Happy Monday Coal comeback Trump signed executive orders to revive the coal industry, extending the life of aging coal plants and dodging EPA rules for the next two years.

Tariff fallout begins. An educational toy company called Learning Resources reported its tariff bill jumping from $2.3 million to over $100 million. Small and mid-sized businesses are sounding the alarm. Ports across Europe are clogging thanks to the US-China trade war. Containers are stuck in limbo at Antwerp and Rotterdam. Delays are hitting everything from text parts to textiles.

Federal buyouts Federal buyouts announced. The Trump administration announced 77,000 federal buyouts. It's being spun as streamlining. It's a strategic gutting of the key government departments. Tick tock and trade secrets. Lawmakers allege tick tock is leaking us manufacturing secrets through viral videos. Warehouse workers unknowingly expose supply chains. Bite dance has until may to ban.

China responded to Trump's 145 percent tariffs by raising theirs to 125 percent. Beijing called the US strategy a joke and promised to fight till the end. The global economy caught in the crossfires. Trump exempts tech giants from tariffs. In a plot twist, trump removes tariffs from smartphones, computers and semiconductors, essentially protecting Apple. The rest of us still paying for more basic goods. China's silent strike. China begins using non-tariff barriers to mess with the US exports, especially goods tied to MAGA states Think farming, petroleum and auto parts.

Let's circle back to that viral TikTok because the comments a whole mood. You're just mad Trump's back. I'm mad that democracy is on clearance at the MAGA gift shop. But sure, there is about almost 2,000 comments on my video that went viral. They've also filtered out a lot of comments that I don't even look at like there's trigger words where they totally filter them out. I figured we would read some of the comments together and you could see what my daily life is like, except now.

This has been debunked countless times. What I've learned is they don't really pay attention. They pick out what they want to hear and then they jump in and just attack. It's crazy how a viral video can make you really learn about people and see some ugly sides to things. Lily Hartman, this is going to sound totally out of touch. I promise I'm not. But what is the SAVE Act? That's the people I do this for. That's the people that I want to inform so that they can be prepared if some of their paperwork or documents don't match, and they can be ready before it's time to vote. That's what this is all about. It's over 2000 comments of that type of stuff.

I honestly, the way that I've gotten is I really engage the first 24 hours and you know I make sure I get in there. I look at all the new people that have joined my page and I really I really give and then I go and I follow back After that first day. It gets like there's like a layer of of safety that a video's in. So if a video for me is in the thousand anywhere from zero to a thousand views, and I feel very safe and I get really good community and I get a lot of conversation. But once it hits outside that bubble, there's a whole nother layer to the people that you're going to reach and once it gets to half a million, it's bonkers like bonkers.

I was tagged in somebody else's video where she was definitely transphobic and all of these other things, and a commenter from my, who saw my post, went in and said at Christy Chanel, maybe you should learn something by watching this video, and I'm like I don't know you from Adam. Ok, I don't need you to help me go watch videos that are homophobic and racist. Thank you, but no, thank you. So obviously I blocked, but one of the really cool things that happened and it really touched my heart was somebody drew or painted me. They took my video and they painted me and they used my audio with it and it's me holding up a passport and then she puts all the, she puts all the information in the post and I was just so beyond touched by it.
