Why Should We Care About Demi Moore's Win?
Do you ever feel like your efforts are all for nothing, or wonder why success seems to take so long? You're not alone, and I'm here to remind you that perseverance is the ultimate game-changer. Inspired by Demi Moore's unexpected Golden Globe win. As we navigate through the chaos of news and uncertainty around platforms like TikTok, I'll be releasing long-form episodes every Monday with short, engaging tidbits sprinkled throughout the week. This episode is all about embracing the long game, holding onto your passions, and redefining your journey to success, one patient step at a time.
My experiences taught me the importance of patience and consistency, shifting my perspective from seeking instant gratification to valuing perseverance. Reflecting on my own ups and downs, I emphasize that progress, even if slow, is still progress. The key is passion—doing what you love so it never feels like work. Together, let's commit to our dreams, knowing that every setback is just another step towards a meaningful and fulfilling life.

surprise. I'm back. I know I can't stay away. I don't know what to tell you. I am still starting my season two on January 20th. Yes, I know, inauguration day Total coincidence. No planning on my part with that at all, so you're probably not going to be paying attention to me too much. Huh, there's going to be too much in the news. I get it. I get it, but I'll be there if you want to come back.
Speaker 1:Tuesday, the 21st, 22nd, whatever my episode's not going anywhere. I still plan on releasing a long form episode every Monday, but I didn't say anything about short form content. You know, quick little tidbits throughout the week. I am looking for another outlet because TikTok may be banned on the 19th. We don't know what's going to happen and right now I currently post on TikTok every single day. So, figured, I'd give this a try. Try to keep it to less than 15 minutes, make it a quick episode and see if I can I don't know turn this into my routine. I need another outlet, you guys and this is a bit more tedious I have to kind of prep and get everything set up. It's not as easy as the iPhone, but I think it's worth it. I'm going to try. I'm going to give it a shot and we'll see how it goes.
Speaker 1:So this is like testing for me, and the reason I decided to give it a try today was because there was just a lot going on, like the Golden Globes just passed and Demi Moore just won her first ever award for being an actress. Now I don't know if you've seen it, but if you did not get a chance to see her acceptance speech brilliant, fantastic. It inspired me. She was saying that she hasn't won an award in 45 years. They called her a popcorn actress and she believed them. She believed them. She thought she just would never win one. She didn't think that she was in that tier, so to speak, and this past weekend gave her the confidence that she is, in fact, in that tier.
Speaker 1:But beyond Demi the actress, I've gotten conflicting feelings on her in general. I don't know her. I can't debate you on who she is as a person, nor do I choose to, but that's not the point. The reason I bring her up is because we need to think about ourselves in the same light. I know some people may be getting frustrated. Hey, I haven't accomplished anything in my first year of doing this and I've been trying to do this for the last five years and it's just not working. I'm not any good. I don't even know why I thought about doing it. Well, you can't.
Speaker 1:It's about the long game, and that is why I had to jump on here and have this conversation with you, because it's relevant. I know I've sat there and told myself a lot. Why are you doing this? Why who wants to listen to you? You know I've been doing this a year and a couple of months and I'm seeing progress. It may be slow, but it's still progress, and if I can keep this up for years down the road, I'm going to show progress every year and then, before you know it, it'll be substantial.
Speaker 1:The key is starting. You have to start in order to get there, and not only do you have to start, you have to be consistent. It's about the journey. So don't get involved in something that you're not passionate about, because you won't stick with it, and that is why I have changed directions so many times. It's not even funny.
Speaker 1:I released my flashback story to when I started Code Reimplant and when I started Simply Vibin, I hit dead end after dead end and I wondered what it was all for, and now I know it's all for learning, it's all for figuring out the next spot in my journey. If you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work. I love what I do and I'm willing to put in the time and effort to get to where I want to go. I know the key is patience and in my 20s I was an instant gratification girl Everything I wanted right away, and that's what caused me to give up so much. I am no longer that same girl. Now I realize the fruit is in the journey, and I know that sounds cliche and stupid, but it's absolutely true.
Speaker 1:So, however you're feeling, don't give up. Please don't give up. If you're not going to use me as an example of the long journey, because we're going to be in this for a while, okay, use Timmy more, all right, okay, I'm going back to doing what I was doing, but I hope you're having a great week. Oh, lastly, texas is getting a snowstorm baby. I hope I have electricity for the next couple of days. It's looking to come in Thursday or Friday. Who the hell knows what's gonna happen. So I need to record this and put it out. So I'm gonna go now, but you have a safe and wonderful week, and well, I'll probably pop by again soon. Love you, miss you, bye.
